Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in the part of Montreal known as"the West Island. The West Island can be confusing for those who aren't familiar to its significance. Many people believe that it is an island west of Montreal, but it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the two cities of Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on the West Island. However, this is not true. Brugel grew up in Courtice near Oshawa Ontario. Her early ambition was to become a dancer, however a rapid growth rate led to her growing beyond her dance partners. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I surpassed the size of my male companion, I stopped. There are many dancers who make the move to acting. For Bruce, it was her drama teacher who encouraged her into this path. The teacher recommended that she take part in an audition for the annual school production. She was chosen to play the main role for Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she studied Theatre and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel's been performing in over 60 plays, smaller and large. The most notable was when she landed the role of Rita on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian cast member in the season 1 of the show and was only appeared on occasion.
